Nayab Saini confident of BJP’s win in Haryana: Party worked with honesty

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday said that his party, the BJP, will form the government in the state with a full majority for the third time when the results are announced on October 8.
Speaking to India Today/Aajtak, Saini said, “I am confident of winning the polls. Given the honesty with which we served the people of Haryana, I am sure of it. My government instilled confidence in the youth and worked for the farmers”.

On the question of the Chief Minister’s face after the elections, Saini said that in the BJP, the party’s parliamentary board decides on such issues.
“See, we have a parliamentary board that decides on critical issues such as the Chief Minister’s face,” Saini said.
While expressing confidence in winning a third term in Haryana, Saini further said that if the party fails to perform, it will be his responsibility as he is the party’s face in Haryana.
He also rejected the predictions of the exit polls that predicted a Congress win in the Assembly polls.
The Haryana assembly elections on Saturday saw a turnout of nearly 67 per cent, with several exit polls predicting a clear majority for the Congress, which is eyeing a comeback after a decade.
In the elections, the BJP is eyeing getting a third term, while the Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress is working to come back to power after ten years.
