The Institute likely refers to the
Institute of France where the composer joined through election in 1881.
The recipient and exact date are unknown.

by AB 1570, I'm required to have a separate letter of authenticity accompany any sports & entertainment autographs purchased.
CONDITION:
Letter is in French. I will provide the translation into English in the description. Folded previously into equal square fourths with creases at middle both horizontally and vertically, assumedly for mailing, mounted on black construction paper with toning present, some wear from handling. The impression from his embossed stationery appears over the underlined portion of his autograph, Slight surface scratching and toning throughout, minimal wear to corners and borders, save any previous description. Please examine images closely.
