    Description

    Autographed 8" x 10" photograph of the Indian violinist and conductor, March, 1983.
    Zubin and Zarin's Father was a classical pioneer in India.  He founded the Bombay String Quartet in 1940, moving to NYC in 1945 for further violin study.  He was the concertmaster of the Halle Orchestra under Sir Joihn Barbirolli and later joined the Curtis String Quartet.  He founded the American Youth Symphony in Los Angeles and also toured widely as a conductor.
