    Description

    Autographed 3” x 5” textured and deckled postcard photograph as Isolde.
    The Swedish dramatic soprano was a member of the Royal Swedish Opera from 1906-1925. She was made a Royal Chamber Singer in 1922 there. She was at La Scala, 1923-1924, singing Isolde.  From 1925-27, she sang Italian, French, but mainly German roles at the Metropolitan Opera.  She also guested in Berlin, Vienna, Budapest, Hamburg, London, Munich, Amsterdam, Brussels and Copenhagen.  From 1927-1931 she was an indispensible dramatic soprano soprano at Bayreuth.  A number of people who heard both Larsen-Todsen and Kirsten Flagstad sing favored Larsen-Todsen.  Her last appearance was at the Paris Opera in 1937, where she sung her final Isolde.
